Dog walking, done properly.
I keep walks one-on-one. It means I’m not splitting attention or rushing to keep a group moving — the walk is about your dog and what suits them that day.
Walks are calm and unhurried, and I choose routes based on the dog rather than sticking to the same loop every time. Some days that means quiet space; other days it’s slow, low-pressure exposure from a distance.
Keeping things this way makes it possible to work comfortably with a wide range of dogs.

For dog walking, I currently cover Portreath and nearby areas within roughly a 10–15 minute drive. This typically includes Illogan, Redruth, Camborne, and surrounding villages.
I’m able to travel outside my usual walking area for pet-sitting bookings.

My name is Max Wren
I’m Max (yes, a common dog name).
I’m a university graduate, and I’ve been around dogs all my life: from German Shepherds and Labradors to Pomeranians. I started Better Call Max to keep things simple, local, and dependable — the kind of walks I’d want for my own dog.
Alongside this, I’m working on my own writing, and dog walking is a good balance to that: time outdoors, paying attention, and being a part of the Portreath community.
