Terms & Conditions

Better Call Max

These terms apply to all services provided by Better Call Max. By booking a service, you agree to the terms below.

1. Services

Better Call Max provides one-on-one dog walking and in-home pet sitting services within the stated catchment area.

All services are provided on an individual basis and tailored to each dog’s needs, temperament, and wellbeing.

2. Booking & Payment

  • Services must be booked in advance via the website or by agreement.

  • Payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.

  • Card payments may include a small processing fee.

  • Cash or bank transfer is charged at the base price.

Prices are listed clearly on the website and may be updated from time to time.

3. Cancellations

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled service will not be charged.

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled service may be charged in full.

  • In the event of severe weather or unforeseen circumstances, services may be rescheduled at no charge.

4. Access & Keys

For pick-up, drop-off, or pet sitting services, clients are responsible for providing safe and reliable access to their property.

Any keys or access codes provided will be kept securely and used only for the purpose of delivering the agreed service.

5. Dog Health & Behaviour

Clients confirm that:

  • Their dog is healthy enough for walks or care at the time of service

  • Any medical conditions, behavioural issues, or special requirements have been disclosed in advance

  • Dogs are up to date with routine vaccinations, flea, and worming treatments

Better Call Max reserves the right to refuse or discontinue a service if a dog’s behaviour poses a safety risk to itself, other animals, or the walker.

6. Equipment

Clients are responsible for providing suitable collars, harnesses, leads, and any required equipment.

If a piece of equipment is deemed unsafe or unsuitable, an alternative may be used where available.

7. Emergencies & Veterinary Care

In the event of illness or injury during a service:

  • Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the owner or emergency contact

  • If necessary, veterinary care will be sought at the owner’s expense

  • By booking, clients authorise Better Call Max to act in their dog’s best interests in an emergency

8. Pet Sitting Services

Pet sitting services involve staying overnight at the client’s home for the agreed period.

Unless otherwise arranged, this does not constitute a 24-hour live-in service. Reasonable daytime absences may occur for other commitments, including dog walking.

Any inclusions (such as an optional walk) will be clearly stated at the time of booking.

9. Liability

Better Call Max is fully insured.

While all reasonable care is taken, Better Call Max cannot be held liable for:

  • Illness, injury, or loss resulting from pre-existing conditions

  • Damage caused by a dog to property, furniture, or belongings

  • Events beyond reasonable control

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot be legally excluded.

10. Photos & Media

With client consent, photographs or videos taken during walks or care may be used for website or social media purposes.

No identifying details will be shared without permission.

11. Data Protection

Client information is collected and stored solely for the purpose of providing services and managing bookings.

Personal data will not be shared with third parties except where required by law or for emergency veterinary care.

12. Right to Refuse Service

Better Call Max reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services where:

  • Safety is compromised

  • Terms are breached

  • Information provided is misleading or incomplete

Any decision will be made calmly and reasonably, with the dog’s welfare as the priority.

13. Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated occasionally. The most current version will always be available on the website.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
